What are Lawn Guardian™ Beneficial Nematodes?

• The active ingredients are beneficial nematodes; these are microscopic worms that occur naturally in soil. Nematodes actively seek out pest hosts in wet soil and will kill the infested grub or larva using it as a breeding chamber to produce more nematodes, which will seek more pest larva to control. Nematodes will die if they dry out or freeze.

When to Apply:

• For best results, apply a minimum of twice per year in spring and fall. Lawn Guardian™ beneficial nematodes can be applied anytime from May thru October when grubs or larva are seen in the soil. Apply Lawn Guardian™ natural beneficial nematodes when soil temperatures are 10°C (50°F) of more.
• Also apply in late August to October (pending autumn temperature) to eliminate any new grubs that hatch during summer

How to Apply:

• Water area to be treated
• Remove sponge & place in 4L of water & wring out sponge 5-10 times. 
• Mix nematodes with water and apply using hose end sprayer or pump sprayer.
• Rinse out plastic bag to release any remaining nematodes, then remove bag & sponge. This will make nematode concentrate.
• Apply with hose end end sprayer. If your sprayer does not empty you must add a tea bag or food colouring to the concentrate so you will know when your hose end sprayer has applied the nematodes.
• Make sure you vigorously stir the nematode concentrate each time as the nematodes are heavy and fall to the bottom. Stirring ensures an even distribution.
• Nematodes can withstand up to 300 psi
• Water well into soil.
• Use all Lawn Guardian within 2 hour period.
• Keep soil wet for a minimum of 3 days
