Product description
Features:
- Spider mites are often found on the undersides of plant leaves.
- Spider mites are also called “webspinning mites" and they are common in North America.
- They attack both indoor and outdoor plants. They are most common in hot, dry conditions, especially where their natural enemies have been killed off by insecticide use.
- Phytoseiulus Persimillis are bright reddish orange mites (0.5 mm) that feed on two-spotted spider mites. Persimilis need greater than 60% relative humidity.
- To increase the humidity, mist plants or wet walkways. The New Zealand Strain prefers higher temperatures along with greater humidity.
SHIPPED: Adults in bottle with vermiculite.
OPTUMUM CONDITIONS: 22-35C (72-100F), 60-80% humidity.
RELEASE RATE: 5 Persimilis per m. sq. (10 ft. sq.) or 20 Persimilis per infested leaf introduced weekly.
SPECIAL NOTES: Pest mites like it hot and dry, while, predator mites like it cooler and humid. New Zealand Strain stays higher on the plants in hot houses. Works well with release points.
